This is the complete programme of events from July to September. Here information and updates on current events.
Physics&Art against CO2 is project of public engagement in science and technology promoted by the University of Udine and other partners, which includes an exhibition, conference and workshops to promote interest, knowledge and reflection on renewable energies.
The exhibition hosted by the Biblioteca Statale focuses on solar thermal energy and the use of waste biomass, and presents a virtuous closed cycle that can contribute to the replacement of fossil fuel.
A solar concentrator (spectacularly exposed in the Library garden) and a toaster who uses the hot air supplied by the Mirror to toast poor biomass are shown.
The exhibition will be open from the 29th of July until the 11th of September. Scientific conferences will be offered together with artistic reflections on the theme of light and power of the Sun, its interaction with matter and sustainability. Several artists will present their works and photography workshops on the theme will be offered. Philologists and classicists are going to discuss how science and art were integrated parts of culture at the roots of European culture.
