This is the complete programme of events from July to September. Here information and updates on current events.
The fundamental objective of the workshop is to retrace an ancient path in the field of photography, that of Cyanotype.
Referring to two extraordinary photographers of the past, Anna Atkins (English botanist and photographer), and Karl Blossfeldt (German artist, sculptor, photographer and botanist) we will approach the world of botany, reproducing herbs, flowers and leaves on photosensitive paper personally prepared, creating a Herbarium in Blue. The workshop is divided into two parts:
Theoretical part
- elements of history of photography,
- botanical typologies,
- technical elements for the realization of the collection of photographic material,
- cyanotype technique emphasizing the creative aspect
Practical part
- collection of plants or creation of digital images in the natural environment,
- choice of plants or critical vision of images and graphic elaboration in order to obtain negatives,
- preparation of the chemical solution,
- drafting the solution on art paper,
- test of the chemical preparation,
- image development,
- washing and drying of the images.
Fisics&Art against CO2 is project of public engagement in science and technology promoted by the University of Udine and other partners, which includes an exhibition, conference and workshops to promote interest, knowledge and reflection on renewable energies.
