Green Technologies in Africa - Physics&Arts against CO2

Wednesday 26 August 2020
Schedule 16:00-17:00

Giardino della Biblioteca statale Stelio Crise - Largo Papa Giovanni XXIII, 6, Trieste

Description

This conference of Prof. Diouma Kobor (Université Assane Seck de Ziguinchor, Senegal) is organised in the framework of Fisics&Art against CO2, a project of public engagement in science and technology promoted by the University of Udine and other partners, which includes an exhibition, conference and workshops to promote interest, knowledge and reflection on renewable energies.
Also Africa needs new technologies in order to get rid of fossil fuels. Importing key installations from foreign countries is one possible solution. An alternative which can be more beneficial in the long terms is to develop local solutions, in collaboration with colleagues all over the world, who are also dedicated to
fundamental innovation. The talk will illustrate the collaboration with the University of Udine and present the laboratories at the University of Ziguinchor.
