Nowadays there seems to be no connection between art and science, they seem to be almost incompatible. But in the past, this was different, art and science were always cooperating, even in the dark times where physics was almost extinct: the medieval cathedrals are masterpieces not only of art, but also of physics.
The seeming separation of art and physics is relevant: "scientific experts" like to claim that the human being is nothing but an animal, that its brain is nothing but a computer, and that realities can be created as will - they marginalize the human being. Art instead has remained a stronghold of humanity. And these positions are incompatible.
In the conference “A Cahtedral is its Physics and its Art”, the physicist Hans Grassmann will show that marginalization is unsicentific, and that contemporary art and contemporary physics are in perfect harmony.
